Winter Sports Camp

The 2021 MACC Sports Academy Winter Camp is coming to a close on December 18th, but we had an awesome time training and developing our youth in the sports that they love.  For the first time we offered camp over a six-week period focusing strictly on fundamentals, math prep, and presenting the Gospel. Each day we offered a different sport: basketball, golf, baseball, and cheer.  Our youth were able to select one or more sports and learn the fundamentals without the added pressure of competing in games.  As an added surprise for our youth, we rented out the Bel Air movie theater so that them and their families could enjoy and be inspired by the new movie “King Richard”, which featured Will Smith and told the story of Serena and Venus Williams (African American tennis hall of famers).  The growth in our athletes these past 6 weeks has been tremendous and this is something that we will continue to offer throughout the year.

Winter Programming

We are so excited about our 2022 winter programming.  This season MACC Sports partnered with the Jr. Pistons, the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), and Every Kid Sports Pass.  In our partnership with the Jr. Pistons all of our players will receive a reversible Jr. Pistons jersey, a Pistons game ticket, a Motor City Cruise ticket, and an indoor/outdoor basketball with registration.

The partnership with the DPSCD and the Every Kids Sports Pass has allowed us the opportunity to offer all of our programs free of charge to all DPSCD Students and all low income families that receive Medicaid, WIC, and/or SNAP. This winter we will offer basketball, cheer, and flag football.  Programs are filling up fast and registration can be done right online at www.maccsports.com.
